  • Being a business and brand leader, for the client, the team, the work and the success of the account
  • Being an effective driver of organic growth with existing client relationships
  • Working on multiple accounts, managing multiple relationships across various categories
  • Wearing more than one hat, leading and doing when needed
  • Building and nurturing strong client relationships and earning trust everyday as their partner
  • Being an expert in our clients’ businesses, and staying an expert in our own marketing industry
  • Training and supervising less senior account managers, and being a mentor and a positive example across the agency
  • Being a collaborator and a team asset, loving to bring out the best in a multi-disciplined team of strategists, creatives and producers
  • Listening, learning, researching and uncovering insights and trends that positively impact the work
  • Scoping and planning the strategic direction, helping our clients reach their goals
  • Proactively brainstorming ideas and finding opportunities for the agency to support the clients’ business and overcome challenges
  • Leading and authoring creative briefs, as well as collecting and preparing information for the development of digital and media briefs
  • Synthesizing client feedback and guiding the team to the right solutions
  • Developing client presentations, including strategic set up and storytelling
  • Managing the client budgets like they are your own
  • Participating in new business opportunities when appropriate

Requirements/Hiring Criteria:

  • At least 8 years of account management experience at an ad agency
  • Minneapolis based, working with the team from our offices at least three days per week
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues and opportunities to all levels of management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and cool under fire
  • Strong presentation skills, in person and over video
  • Experienced in supervising and mentoring team members
  • Excellent people skills and strong EQ
  • Able to understand, motivate and support all team members
  • Capability and experience to work on both digital and traditional marketing
  • Natural curiosity, ability to ask smart and thoughtful questions, and a desire to research and learn
  • Superior attention to detail and organization
  • Leadership potential, a desire to grow along with the agency
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to live our agency values of courage, openness, originality and positivity
  • Proficient level of professional skill and knowledge in marketing and key client industries, keeping current with developments and trends
  • Solid computer skills, including Google Suite (Google Slides, Sheets and Docs)
  • Confident, motivated, driven and a self-starter
  • Responsible and gives a damn
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • A sense of humor

This role is based in Minneapolis and requires in-office presence. We love to interact, learn from one another, fully collaborate and have fun together. We are currently working a hybrid schedule of Monday, Wednesday and Thursday in office with Tuesday and Friday optional remote. We are following all CDC and Minnesota Department of health guidelines when it comes to COVID safety.
