MINNEAPOLIS—April 12, 2023—Preston Spire, Minneapolis’ independently owned “Good Wins” agency, is bringing the noise—via the Minnesota Wild’s goal horn—to encourage fans to “Heed the Call” in a new campaign to promote season ticket memberships for the 2023-2024 season.

The new TV creative features the Wild’s unmistakable goal horn sound that blasts from the Xcel Energy Center’s lighthouse to perk the ears of Wild fans ice fishing, eating dinner and even at their cubicles, causing a stampede of fans to Heed the Call for season tickets. The radio spots use a Sir David Attenborough-like voice to mimic a nature show describing Wild fans Heeding the Call and hunting for season ticket memberships.

“The goal horn sound resonates across the State of Hockey, and we loved the idea to carry that familiar call outside the arena to connect with Wild fans in their everyday lives that can encourage them to Heed the Call,” says Brett Essman, Associate Creative Director at Preston Spire. “The goal horn sound is not only a call for us to celebrate, but it also serves as a rally cry.”

In addition to the TV and radio creative, Preston Spire designed a limited edition “Heed the Call” poster—signed by the Wild captains—that is being distributed to new season ticket members. “In a digital age, these prints deliver a physical touchpoint to celebrate the season ticket holders who Heeded the Call,” says Charlie Tournat, Creative Director at Preston Spire.

“Every Minnesota Wild fan recognizes the Xcel Energy Center lighthouse and our goal horn sound as part of our exciting in-game experience,” says John Maher, Senior Brand Advisor of the Minnesota Wild. “We love what Preston Spire did to take this iconic in-arena landmark and sound across the State of Hockey to drive excitement for season ticket memberships.”
